Trimethyl Isopropenoxysilane, also known as 2-(trimethoxysilyloxy)propene, is an alkylating reagent that can be used as a substitute for trimethylchlorosilane as a trimethylsilane agent. It can also be used as an end-capping agent for silicone oils. As a treatment agent for modified powder, it replaces hexamethyldisiloxane and has advantages such as safety, high stability, and strong silanization effect. It has been used in the synthesis of optically active β-alkoxy ketones (such as camphor-type β-alkoxy-β-unsaturated ketones) for pharmaceutical synthesis. |
